Foot problems? You need SQAIRZ.

Foot problems? You need SQAIRZ.

SQAIRZ’s head designer, Jonathan Bacon, hears something over and over when he fits players at the PGA trade show. “I get the same feedback every year from people having foot issues,” Jon says. “They try on our shoes and say, ‘Oh my God, I need these.’”

Many golfers underestimate the impact shoes have on their foot health. Substandard footwear doesn’t just increase your odds of blisters or sore feet, it may cause or exacerbate injuries—from hammertoe to plantar fasciitis.

If you have these or other foot problems, SQAIRZ can get you back in the game. SQAIRZ shoes promote a natural gait, better balance, and all-round comfort while reducing fatigue and your risk of developing injuries. And they do so using the same high-tech, research-backed advancements that measurably increase performance over lesser shoes.

Relief for Troubled Toes

The unnatural shape of a standard round toe box squeezes toes together, undermining foot function, form, and technique. The tighter the shoe, the more likely middle toes will curl, which can shorten tendons and muscles over time. This leads to hammer toe (one or more middle toes that stay bent at the center joint) or claw toe (a bend in the bottom two joints, usually in multiple toes). Excess pressure on the toes from tight or ill-fitting shoes can also have a downstream effect on the ball of the foot, provoking the painful inflammation associated with metatarsalgia, sesamoiditis, and neuromas.

SQAIRZ’s patented toe box alleviates pressure on the toes and allows them to spread naturally. “So many people have these issues,” Jon says. “With our shoes, they feel the difference right away because of that extra room in the toe box."

The geometry of the toe box also enhances general foot protection by adding outer corners to the toe box. "I was a kicker in football and goalie in soccer, so I have many problems with my feet,” Jon says. “I really notice how protective our shoes feel.”

Structure and Support—From Heel to Toe

Plantar fasciitis is a common culprit of heel pain, which may feel sharp or like a dull ache. It’s triggered by inflammation along a band of connective tissue that stretches from your heels to your front foot. Insufficient arch support and overly soft shoes may be contributing factors.

All three models in SQAIRZ’s 2024 line are equipped with an integrated stabilizer for exceptional arch support and a removable dual-density compression-foam insole that provides superior comfort without over-cushioning. SPEED2 further boosts stability with external TPU carbon film that extends from heel to arch, preventing rollovers and wobbling from side to side.

For next-level structure throughout the upper shoe, VELO offers Proprietary SQAIRZ NRG-Direct™ Technology—sturdy, hot melt adhesives that span the saddle area over the midfoot for weightless lateral and rotational support. A supplemental LaceLock™ system gently secures the upper to the foot and won’t budge until you’re ready to remove your shoes.

Terry Hashimoto, founder of Golf Rehab and co-developer of the BodiTrak pressure mapping system, says ProS2 is his choice for a range of foot problems. “If someone has plantar fasciitis, issues with their toes, the balls of their feet, or their arches, the ProS2 can help them enjoy golf again,” he says. “Because the ProS2 has extra support along both longitudinal arches, you're going to get the benefits of SQAIRZ technology and you'll have the benefits of a shoe that can be used under more medically challenging conditions.”

Terry recommends the Pro2 to golfers who spend long hours on their feet, including instructors. “It’s a great teaching shoe,” he says. “If you’re a golf instructor and you're on your feet for ten, twelve hours a day, the ProS2 might be the ideal combination. It’s a softer shoe in terms of how it feels on your foot, but still has the support that SQAIRZ designs give you.”

Whether you want better foot health or just the winning edge of high-performance footwear, SQAIRZ has a shoe that’s right for you. Check out our 2024 line to find your perfect fit.
