If you’re like most golfers, you own one pair of golf shoes that you wear every time you hit the links. Investing in a second pair of shoes can seem like an unnecessary expense—but it can pay off in the long run.
Read on for three reasons why serious golfers should own more than one pair of shoes.
1. Give your padding time to recover.
Each step that you take and swing that you make has force from the foot pressing down at 1 to 2 times your body weight, which adds significant stress to the shoes. Wearing the same pair of golf shoes each time you play doesn’t give the padding and foam in your shoes enough time to decompress and return to its original state—which can take up to 48 hours. By rotating between pairs, you allow additional time for your shoes to fully recover, ensuring they remain supportive and comfortable for a longer period of time.
2. Allow your shoes to fully dry out.
Even in well-designed and well-ventilated shoes, moisture will build up over 18 holes. When you walk for hours at a time across fairways, sand, and rough, all 125,000 sweat glands in your feet are forced to work overtime to keep your feet cool, which can soak through your socks and into your shoes. If you wear the same pair of shoes too often, this sweat doesn’t have time to fully evaporate, which can cause the shoe’s interior padding and foam to lose its shape. Having a second pair of golf shoes ensures both pairs can have enough time to fully dry out between rounds.
3. Customize your shoes to your needs.
Except for the lucky golfers who play on sunny, 75-degree courses week in and week out, most of us need different shoes for different weather conditions. Lighter, more breathable shoes best suit sweaty summer rounds, whereas waterproof shoes suit the rainy days of the shoulder season. When you’re investing in your game, making sure that you have the right features in your shoes to keep you comfortable is worth it.

Having multiple pairs of golf shoes can help you, just like having different golf clubs for different situations can help you. Great golfers know how to adapt to different conditions on the course, and different conditions in their own bodies.
Don’t be afraid to invest in your gear and to have multiple pairs of golf shoes on hand. In a game where an inch can mean the difference between par and bogey, you should take any advantage you can get.

I bought my 1st pair sqairz in February and my second pair in November their great to alternate
Looking down is part of golf, seeing the same shoes each time is boring. Personally, I own 4 pairs of Sqairz, bastards keep tempting me w new styles. I also own a half a doz pairs of golf shoes of various mfr., none have had use after I got my first pair of Sqairz.
Like the concept of the shoe bought a pair of the one that first came out all leather wore them 3 times and they kill my feet need the soft ones but not spending that much again
By far, Sqairz shoes are the best golf shoes for support and traction I have ever experienced.
